Above expectations
I went to this university for my first degree and had a great time. Its right close to the centre of London, but far enough away so that you are close to plenty of green. By green, I mean Richmond Park. Also, there were lots of grassy areas you could hit each others with frisbes or sunbaths on in the grounds, although I think they built a montrosity of a hall of residence on it.
I lived in Southlands College in an en suite room- basic, but nice enough. Bring posters for the charming white breeze block walls.
Southlands is by far the nicest student bar on campus, but be careful when going back to halls after drinking too much- there is a big pond in the middle of the grounds that probably wouldn't be a good idea to fall into.
