I used to love the Cadbury - it's ever sunny garden and 'eclectic' mix of patrons. Even the stern owner who seems to hate all her customers added something to the overall experience but I just can't go in there anymore. Overpriced and depressing - the once bargain tasty roasts are getting as washed out as the wired groups that assemble each Sunday to not quite eat them.

How do you do it?

The Cadbury is an accommodating, relaxed and informal pub. Although located in an apparently ‘dodgy’ area of Montpelier, I have never experienced any problems. This pub attracts some colourful people and characters, has a good sized garden, some abysmal graffiti in the toilets, and some decent beers on tap. Not bad all round but if you like your posh drinks and dressing up - this isn’t the place for you.

On entering this pub at the right angle you will be welcomed in 50 or more different languages, how quaint.
Recently taken over by a chap called Wayne, the bar staff are much more friendly than a few years ago, and the smoking policy is a bit stricter. However the garden is still nice, the pool table is still rubbish, barbeques still never happen and music is still played loud.
The prices are at the upper end for Bristol, but this pub is lovely for a lazy Sunday.
Oh and the food is pretty good too.
