Review of The Barn Store

The barn store 4*

Easy to find on Highbury park as it is bright yellow. They sell a small selection on fresh fruit and veg and the usual range of tinned and dry good found in late night shops. A handy place to to pick up essentials. Nice staff providing good service.

Review of The Metro Club

Blow Up Metro 4*

Good small music venue. Nice room and when it's busy, great atmosphere. The bar a raised step and has a view of the stage. Good for nipping to get the beers in and not missing any action. One of those venues to see an up and coming act up close and personal. Last saw The View and The Underground Heroes here and I know at least The View are going well and performing in theatre sized venues. Cool decor and cosy basement feel.

Review of The Natural History Museum

V&A South Kensington 4*

A quality London museum with interesting exhibits. We last visited for an architecture exhibition which was OK, better if you're especially interested in this subject. Admission is free but some exhibitions and events carry a separate charge. Worth a visit but not my favourite of the big museums in the area.

Review of Lyceum Tavern

The Lyceum, 3*

Good own brand beer and knock down prices. Food's not that good. Well worth looking in as it's as cheap as a Wetherspoons.

Review of Tate Modern

Tate Modern 5*

Great art gallery. It has always been quite busy when I have visited on weekends, especially around the famous artworks, but I haven't been to a London gallery on the weekend which isn't. Very big and unless your feeling like being on your feet all day too much for one visit. The shop has a wide range of art books and postcards. If you get a chance to go before the slides leave in April '07 I highly recommend having a go, they're great fun! I expected hassle getting tickets but a 20 mins queue from about 1:40 for the afternoon session, which started at 2:00, got us tickets to the 3rd floor slide at 2:30 and the 5th floor slide at 3:00. The queue by the slides took us 10 mins so overall not bad - and we where 15 mins early for the 5th floor but that did not seem to bother the attendant. Free entry, free slides I can not recommend a day out here more.

Absolutely awful, overcrowded and noisy. The drinks are expensive and limited.

Review of Spice Grills

Spice Grills 3*

Cross between an Indian and a kebab shop. Have a set menu £4.50 for any curry rice or naan and a drink. Spice Grills offers a large number of Indian dishes and serve them with delicious home made naans. They also offer a full kebab menu, which means you, can mix and match , I recommend chicken shish on peshwari naan

Review of The Junction

The Junction 3*

During the day a great place to watch football as there is a TV everywhere you look. Gets very busy during Arsenal games. Nice pizza, nice beer, nice sofas. Modern decor, in an old railway building with a large courtyard outside.

Review of Barfly

07 May 07, 14:05

The Barfly Club 4*

Cool music venue and bar in Camden. See a few bands here and been to a club night. The club was very busy, we could hardly move or get to the bar and wherever we stood people where squeezing passed. Got better later in the evening. Good room upstairs to see bands in fairly small and when filled for a good band has a great atmosphere. Nothing special on the drinks front - the usual and a few beers and Guinness on tap.

Review of Euphorium Bakery

Euphorium Bakery 4*

Eurphoria for this Bakery. Great little bakers which does organic tasty cakes, sandwiches and monster size pizza slices which are impossible to eat without all the topping sliding off at some point.
