Review of Neal's Yard Remedies

Excellent advice 5*

I haven't actually bought anything here yet, but that's part of why I think it's so good! I wandered in here wondering if they would be able to find anything for my mum's migraines. They unfortunately didn't but they were very helpful and gave me lots of information and leaflets that may help. I'd be happy to go here again and make a purchase if they sold the thing I wanted. They weren't pushy at all.

Review of Bristol Zoo Gardens

Gotta love the zoo 4*

ahhh I love this zoo so much! It is not quite the same now there is no elephant or giraffe but they still have some really cool sights to see (my favourite being the mouse deer!) It is nicest if you visit the zoo on a warm day and spend from mid morning to early afternoon there stopping at the cafe and eating your lunch outside. It's a great day out for anyone of any age!

Review of Avon Lock And Key

Good customer service 4*

This is where I went to have a second pair of keys cut for our flat when we moved in. The man there was quite polite and cut the two keys on the spot and I took them away. The one for the internal door worked perfectly but unfortunately the other one for the external door was taking several tries to get the door open. I took the key back and the man willing filed the key down a little bit and then it worked fine. I was pleased with the service here and would recommend them to anyone :)

Review of Sainsburys

Good experience 3*

This is a pretty decent shop to grab your weekly shop in, the only downside is the price. I don't shop here all that often but I find that despite that, the layout is quite intuitive so I can go in and still find the things I want without stomping up and down every single aisle twice! Also handy is the fact that Boots is contained within the same retail park - somewhere I frequent - so I can tie the two trips into one.

Review of Sainsburys

Run down 2*

This Sainsburys is pretty run down, it's inside the shopping centre in Kingswood and it's pretty darned old. It's not really up to the usual Sainsburys shopping experience and I'm surprised they haven't updated it a little more by now.

Review of Sainsbury's

Good for Clifton 3*

I think it is quite fitting that they have a Sainsburys supermarket in this shopping centre rather than a Tesco or a Somerfield. I do quite like shopping at Sainsburys apart from their prices - I find they're always higher even if I don't buy lots of treats or unusual items. The store is not huge but it's pretty much everything you want and even though it gets relatively busy at peak times it will never compare to shopping in a busy ASDA for example...because the people are polite and don't barge you around.

Good but more expensive 3*

This shop is not somewhere I regularly go but sometimes it is convenient because it could be in the middle of a journey I'm doing. It is a relatively pleasant place to shop apart from the bit where you get to the till. I find that even if I do a'normal' shop ie. not picking out loads of treats and special goods it always costs more than other supermarkets, so I don't make a habit of shopping here. The layout is relatively good though, as I am not that familiar with it but I manage to find things ok.

Review of Tesco Stores

Ok if you have patience 2*

The prices here are normally quite competitive but for some reason, even if there are not many people waiting, it seems to take ages to get into this station. I think it's perhaps because it's so cramped that people can't drive past to go to the pump in front, they have to wait for both cars to finish and drive off. Still, ok if you have a little patience and sometimes Tesco have offers on for 5p off every litre when you spend £50 at their supermarket.

Review of Chief Trading Post

Unusual and interesting 4*

This garden centre is a little different to others that you may encounter, and I can't decide whether I like it or not. It is slightly more'out there' than other garden centres. From what I can remember it had more crazy looking plants, which is cool, but they seemed to have a lot of the same plants rather than a large selection. My favourite thing about this place was that they had a cool little desert mock-up outside with lots of sand, cactai, a wheelbarrow etc....hard to explain but it was wicked. Probably somewhere you'd visit once a year or a couple of times, rather than your trusty old garden centre where you go whenever you need a new plant.

Review of Fonthill Garden Centre

A pleasant stop between Bristol > Bath 4*

This is a pleasant garden centre between Bristol and Bath (on the scenic route through Bitton). It is sort of medium size, not a huge one but they have a good selection of stuff indoors, outdoors and under cover outdoors. They have extra stuff like fish/pond accessories, and if I remember rightly they have a small area of display outside which is quite nice to look around. I was quite surprised to find a few cool bonsais here too...was in two minds as to whether or not I should buy one then decided I was too irresponsible, haha.
