Review of Playtime Arts Crafts & Softplay

Good soft play centre
Good soft play area that caters for younger kids. The barn style cafe area is next to the big play frame. However the play frame is very big and can be a bit daunting for smaller kids. There is a smaller toddlers area. Food is average (coffee, tea and sandwiches) But is clean. Gets very hectic on a rainy day

Best kept secret in Richmond!
Great little pub that does excellent food (especially sunday lunches). Often good to book ahead for a table at the weekend if you don't want to be let down.
Small garden in the back but pretty kid friendly in general.

Review of Opus

Great local cafe!
If you're looking for somewhere to grab a coffee in the morning or a sandwich at lunch, you could do far worse than popping into Opus.
There's a small restaurant upstairs too, which is a bit pricey, but again, it's a gem in this part of Brixton.

Review of Rubicon Bar

If you like cocktails then this is the place for you. It's the only place in the area that you can go to and feel like you are in London. The interior is great, modern, very St Martin's Lane Hotel feel. The staff are very friendly and the atmosphere is great if your looking for somewhere to go at the weekend. They have good DJ's at the weekend playing funky house and northern soul. The crowd that goes there is slightly older. They have a secret garden outside which is really well designed for the smokers in the party. The only downside is the food menu is limited (I've only been there in the evening so I don't know about daytime menus) They can normally only put on pitta bread and dips. There's a downstairs bit which is a bit dark but good if you want a seat. Worth a visit if you are in Surbiton and want a big night out

A very cool gastro pub. Right next to Teddington station the interior of this pub is very trendy. If you like modern, well designed, privately owned pubs then this is the place for you. They have a seperate dining room. The food is excellent. The staff very friendly. The owners are obviously passionate about the place which has been around for 1 year now. It is working because the place was busy when I went in on a Wednesday night. It makes for a good atmosphere and it's definitely worth a visit. If you can't be bothered to trek all the way up to London then this places offers you a great alternative.

The setting of this pub is amazing. It's seyt on the river thames and overlooks the grounds on on Hampton Court Palace on the opposite side on the river. It's just outside Thames Ditton and dates back to 1886. It's been totally updated and has a very modern feel about it. The food is very very good. Nice pizzas, and simple modern gastro pub food. If you want a nice night out on a Saturday night with friends then this is the place for you. I've yet to experience the place in the summer but the decking outside means it's going to be brilliant. You can even dock your boat there if you're on a day trip up the Thames. Parking is good (don't be fooled by the fact that you have to go down a very small road to get to it) The yare kiddy friendly (although there is no specific children's menu) High chairs are provided. A great place to go for a family lunch on Sat or Sun.

Review of Marney's Village Pub

The best pub in Esher. It's setting is amazing. Overlooking Marney's pond, next to a White Wooden Church and surronded by weston green common. This pub is great to go to after the races at Sandown Park. The pub itself is small (all the old locals go there) but the beer garden in excellent. Whilst it's not kiddy friendly in the winter (kids aren't allowed in the bar area) in the summer it comes into it's own as kids can run around to their hearts content! It's alittle gem of a pub. Great if you have visitors over. The food is excellent. Really really good (although it does get busy in the summer and there are wierd times of service. ie it's not all day) If you want a traditional, original English country pub - definitely go.

A good gastro pub at competitive prices. There are a number of pubs in the area and this pub has struggled in the past to find it's niche. However it's change management recently and it's turned itself round. The staff are excellent which makes all the difference. It's extremely kiddie friendly (because of the staff..they play with them and really make you feel welcome) The food is very good, espcially with the prices. The atmosphere is a bit quiet but I think that's because not many people know about it. We've been there 3 times now and each time it's busier. Word of mouth is starting to have an effect and the locals are starting to give it a go. Worth a visit.

Review of Tryst on the Green

A Gastro pub with Class. Very popular so make sure you book. The food is amazing. Very fresh and very modern. The atmosphere is great for a romantic night out (they have a mini grand piano) and special occasion. However it's also great for Sunday lunch. It has to be special as it is quite expensive but well worth the money. The staff are really friendly (they offered to make me a special cocktail because I couldn't decide what to have!) It is kiddy friendly (they have high chairs)
