Review of Lost Society

Great place, great food, great bar 4*

The Lost Socisty has really thought about who they want to attract. It's just off the "right side" of Clapham but it's worth making the effort to get to it because the atmosphere is so good. The staff are really friendly and make you feel that you're going to have a really good night. The food is really good too....great roasts on a Sunday. It is a bit pricey but worth it for a special occasion. There's a courtyard for smokers so you're not stood infornt of the bar. Well worth a visit

Special occasion dining 4*

The food here is amazing. If you go you have try the Black Cod and the Aubergine. It is expensive but well worth it. You don't have to trek all the way up to London to go to Nobu. The food is just as good and the atmosphere is alot more relaxed. The decor is slightly date but the location is tucked away and the service was really really friendly. If you are out celebrating an anniversary then this is the place for you. Make sure you book well in advance thought. They are normally always full

Review of The Electric Bird Cage

Great value for money at lunch 4*

What an unusual place. It's really quirky deco really adds to the atmopshere of your visit. Add this to the execptional offer that they do at lunchtimes (it's dim sum...after you've had three dishers you can order as much as you want) We all rolled out of there extremelt happy. I would say that the service was very slow though (only in that they didn't have many staff on) but when they did serve us it was good. Well worth a visit (but maybe check that they are still doing the offer) Even if they aren't the food is great

Review of Oxo Tower Wharf

Great romantic setting 4*

Regardless of the food the setting of the restuarant is amazing. Overlooking the southbank the views from the dining area are amazing. If you time it well and get there in the summer when the sun's setting you see the whole of London with red skies. But the great news is that the food is great too. The waiters are always good too. it is expensive but well worth it for a special treat.

Review of Thames Ditton Lawn Tennis Club

great venue for private party 4*

The tennis club has a great community feel about it. In the heart of thames ditton its grass courts look amazing. They have a small member's pub that they open on Sat and Sundays. But also it's a good place to consider when thinking about a venue for a private party. We held my mum's 60th birthdat there and had a great time. There's plenty of parking and the setting was perfect when the sun was setting.

Review of Opus

Great local cafe! 4*

If you're looking for somewhere to grab a coffee in the morning or a sandwich at lunch, you could do far worse than popping into Opus.

There's a small restaurant upstairs too, which is a bit pricey, but again, it's a gem in this part of Brixton.

Review of Rubicon Bar

If you like cocktails then this is the place for you. It's the only place in the area that you can go to and feel like you are in London. The interior is great, modern, very St Martin's Lane Hotel feel. The staff are very friendly and the atmosphere is great if your looking for somewhere to go at the weekend. They have good DJ's at the weekend playing funky house and northern soul. The crowd that goes there is slightly older. They have a secret garden outside which is really well designed for the smokers in the party. The only downside is the food menu is limited (I've only been there in the evening so I don't know about daytime menus) They can normally only put on pitta bread and dips. There's a downstairs bit which is a bit dark but good if you want a seat. Worth a visit if you are in Surbiton and want a big night out

Review of The Bloated Mallard

A very cool gastro pub. Right next to Teddington station the interior of this pub is very trendy. If you like modern, well designed, privately owned pubs then this is the place for you. They have a seperate dining room. The food is excellent. The staff very friendly. The owners are obviously passionate about the place which has been around for 1 year now. It is working because the place was busy when I went in on a Wednesday night. It makes for a good atmosphere and it's definitely worth a visit. If you can't be bothered to trek all the way up to London then this places offers you a great alternative.

Review of The Albany

The setting of this pub is amazing. It's seyt on the river thames and overlooks the grounds on on Hampton Court Palace on the opposite side on the river. It's just outside Thames Ditton and dates back to 1886. It's been totally updated and has a very modern feel about it. The food is very very good. Nice pizzas, and simple modern gastro pub food. If you want a nice night out on a Saturday night with friends then this is the place for you. I've yet to experience the place in the summer but the decking outside means it's going to be brilliant. You can even dock your boat there if you're on a day trip up the Thames. Parking is good (don't be fooled by the fact that you have to go down a very small road to get to it) The yare kiddy friendly (although there is no specific children's menu) High chairs are provided. A great place to go for a family lunch on Sat or Sun.

A Gastro pub with Class. Very popular so make sure you book. The food is amazing. Very fresh and very modern. The atmosphere is great for a romantic night out (they have a mini grand piano) and special occasion. However it's also great for Sunday lunch. It has to be special as it is quite expensive but well worth the money. The staff are really friendly (they offered to make me a special cocktail because I couldn't decide what to have!) It is kiddy friendly (they have high chairs)
