Review of KFC New Malden Restaurant

Fried Chicken 3*

This KFC is quite small, and no different to any other really, in the 13 different herbs and spices on the menu. The staff have been a bit slow and dopey in the past when I've visited. What makes me laugh is the sepia pictures of happy children on the walls, eating chicken drumsticks which are the only objects in the picture in colour - quite surreal! There's nothing like luring in the young to a fried food addiction.

Review of Gleneagles

Truly 5 Stars 5*

Gleneagles is the most luxurious hotel I've stayed in yet. Located within full view of picturesque mountains just oustide of the city of Edinburgh, it is perfect for special occasions and romantic getaways. Myself, I was actually there overnight on a two day work conference so did not get to make the mpost of the surroundings and outdoor activities. But the interior is just beautiful - spacious rooms with two TVs, bathrooms with free standing baths and double shower attachments (a 'drench' one and a movable head with nearly as much power), hard wood furnishings and huge comfortable beds. There is an old part and a new part to the hotel, and finding your way around can be a challenge. Aim to get a room with a balcony with mountain views...it's gorgeous.

Review of Frangos Restaurant

Chicken restaurant - familiar style! 3*

Frango's is a bit of a rip off of Nando's to be honest, though the format works and they seem to have pulled it off somehow. They market their chicken as 'flame-grilled' to draw attention away from the fact that the dishes, marinades and accompaniments are very similar, as is the way you order your food. It is one of the more decent restaurants in Kingston's Rotunda centre for sure, however, alongside Pizza Express and Finesse.

Review of Noodle Express

Great Asian Fusion Restaurant 5*

This is really cheap and cheerful, great value for money. I like the open, airy and light space of this place. The people are as sunny as the restaurant, the service is quick and food delicious. You can choose between Chinese, Japanese and Thai dishes, all really lovely. Go go go!

Review of Finesse Cuisine

Upmarket Chinese Buffet 4*

This restaurant is so good!! It could become an addiction. Loads of delicious dishes line the buffet, a decent number of vegetarian ones too, like tofu, aubergine and pak choi. They don't sit there long, so there is a good turnover! I have only been in the evening though, so I can't speak for how busy and fresh everything is at lunchtime. Then you've got the Teppanyaki stand at the far end of the restaurant, where fresh salmon, prawns, beef and chicken (whatever you choose) are skilleted for you sweet chilli or satay sauce and brought to your table. It is quite noisy because it's so busy. They sometimes blare out bad pop tunes over everybody's chatter. They play a bizarre version of happy birthday for people celebrating in there, it sounds like a Christmas carol! All adds to the atmosphere though. The price changes according to peak or non-peak periods. It is about 11 or 12 quid a head on a weekend evening and worth every penny...go this weekend! And my advice is to pace yourself!!
