Review of Victoria's Health & Beauty

10 Jul 08, 14:53

All a girl could dream of 5*

There really is everything you could possible want at Victoria’s, plus more. The treatments that they do give are well executed and varied and include much sought-after items such as pregnancy massage and men’s treatments. In addition to this they also offer more advanced options such as Botox. Should you wish to indulge. A multi-purpose haven for feeling good.

Review of Beauty Spot

Everything you want from a Store and a Little Bit More 3*

Beauty Spot is a local, friendly salon that offers and extensive range of treatments varying from facials and holistic massages to cellulite busting treatments and waxing. The décor is considerably less ostentatious than other salons, where the main objective seems to be interior design. Here instead is a humble, honest and effective small salon, that makes you feel special and gives the personal touch.

Review of Avalon Beauty

10 Jul 08, 14:31

No more, no less 3*

Avalon Beauty is undeniably focused on the more short term treatment. The staff are friendly and take their time to listen to what you need, however beyond this there is little to offer. No innovative or exciting treatments, no personal touch and no signature therapies. Neither goods nor, bad, this is the most generic beauty salon around.

Review of Aurora Beauty & Holistic Therapies

10 Jul 08, 13:45

Obscure and serene 2*

Whilst the atmosphere and environment at Aurora is relaxing and dignified, it seems that the treatments on offer are almost too obscure and varied, causing the quality of service to be impaired. Whilst you can indulge in a Thermo-Auricular therapy, or a a Chi’l emotional Facial, it is more difficult to receive one of the more common treatments here. Treatments such as Reflexology have been around since the Ancient Egyptians. Emotional Facials haven’t. There is a reason for this. Being adventurous is fine but not at the cost of your integrity

Review of Guy Fawkes

10 Jul 08, 13:22

Beauty in the Centre 2*

Guy Fawkes is located very conveniently in the centre of Bristol. For this reason alone it appears to be popular as a quick-stop-quick-fix-beauty salon. All treatments are executed to a satisfactory level and invariably you leave feeling a lot more beautiful. If you want a truly indulge, relaxing and specialised treatment, however this probably isn’t the place for you.

Review of Relaxation Centre

10 Jul 08, 10:43

From the Inside Out 5*

If beauty lies within, then a trip to The Relaxation Centre will leave you looking like a goddess. Rather than opting for traditional beauty therapies, the Relaxation Centre offers a plethora of alternative therapies and treatments, as well as daily classes in practises such as Yoga and meditation. If you want a spray tan and your nails done in a lunch break, don’t go here, if you want to leave looking and feeling amazing from the inside out, then do. Well worth it.
