Review of Clifton Village

Fishing from Compliments
As you would expect from an establishment in Clifton, everything here is a little ‘nicer’ than usual. Running true to the lah-dee-daah reputation of the area, you can expand your fishy knowledge here, and it is possible to order an delightful array of seaside delights. It is difficult to compare this type of establishment with the generic chippie you find on every corner. This is, indeed, a different kettle of fish. The prices correspond with culinary magnitude, but they are worth it.

Review of Arches Fish Bar

Arches Fish Bar
Arches Fish Bar is neither good nor bad, hot nor cold, expensive nor cheap. Located on the vibrant, if a little rough, Cheltenham Road, this Chippy commands a constant flow of customers . This appears to be, however due to the convenience of its location. The food is palatable. Sometimes it is nice, sometimes it is bad. But never really good or really bad. This chip shop is ok. Nothing more, nothing less.

Review of Flipper

Flippant about Flipper
Flipper on Whiteladies Road is sadly a little disappointing on the flavour side, despite being in the more upmarket area of Clifton. Food most recently eaten from there has definitely been on the soggy side the fish was remarkably tasteless. Given Bristol is so near the sea , there is no excuse for bad fish. This said, however, the staff were very friendly and the price isn’t so bad.

Review of The Rendezvous Fish & Chip Shop

Rendezvous at Rendezvous
Eating Fish and Chips from Rendezvous is like getting a piscine hug. The décor is classic chip shop - and is thus very reassuring. When you visit Rendezvous, you feel everything is right in the world. Not only this, but the fish is fresh, the chips are tasty and the service is quick. And don't worry: if you go there and don't appreciate it for all its glory - there are plenty more fish in the sea.
