Review of LEscargot
08 May 08, 15:38
Quality!
L'Escargot is one of those reliable restaurants that is worth re-visiting when you've been to too many "trendy" restaurants, where style is prioritised over substance, quality and good old-fashioned service, far too many of which are open by the week in London.

Review of Misato
08 May 08, 15:24
Misato
Misato isn’t much to look at - it has an almost canteen-like appearance, with Barbie dolls arranged on the counter. However, the queue, which spills out on to the pavement, would suggest that there is a bit more to it. The menu offers a nice selection of classic Japanese dishes such as sushi, but the portion sizes are definitely western.

Review of Myung Ga
08 May 08, 15:21
Myung Ga
The best thing of this restaurant is the atmosphere that is friendly and homely. It's not easy to find a restaurant that gives this feeling to the costumers. Food as good quality and the waiters are polite and friendly.

Review of The Gaucho Grill
08 May 08, 14:48
Buzzing Atmosphere
The restaurant is often busy enough that you will need a reservation, although only occasionally so busy that you can't book on the day. The menu contains a very long list of South American wines. It's a great place with a buzzing atmosphere, good food and an extremely competent team.

Review of Viet Garden
07 May 08, 13:28
Viet Garden
This restaurant offers a very good food. We had summer rolls, that were light and fresh as a daisy, filled with crisp shredded vegetables and prawns, with a heady peanutty dipping sauce. The squid was more than the sum of its parts: meaty, slightly resilient pieces of lightly battered squid scattered with nibs and quills of spring onions and chillis to fire it right up.

Review of Boxwood Cafe
30 Apr 08, 14:39
Boxwood
The Boxwood Café is a delightful destination. In the site of the former Thai-French fusion experiment that was Vong, the expansion of Gordon Ramsay's empire continues unabated with this sleek, stylish, minimalist venue, staffed by only the most attractive of waiters, offering a varied menu with plenty of appeal.

Review of Konaki Greek Restaurant
30 Apr 08, 14:10
konaki
In this restuarant traditional Greek puddings such as baklava are delicious, as is the Greek yoghurt and honey, that is the simplest of dishes . The wine list is short but is reasonably priced too. The service is friendly and polite and when we went there we were lucky to get a table without a reservation.

Review of Union Cafe
30 Apr 08, 13:58
Good and Not Cheap
Union Café is nice and often busy, but food is really good so I recommend to go there. I had a beetroot risotto with vermouth, chargrilled salmon with black olive mash and a salad. Everything was delicious and well cooked. There is no doubt that there is a very confident cook at work at the Union Café. It's not cheap, even by London standards, but it's good value.

Vegetables
I've been to Blah Blah Blah with a friend of mine, who is vegetarian. We enjoied our time in this restaurant because we ate very well. Our vegetables dishes were very tasty, well cooked and the portion were so big!. The only bad thing has been our waiter, it seems he didn' t have a big wish to work! He was very slow and distract...

Review of Parlour at Sketch
28 Apr 08, 13:24
Good Experience
I expected this place too snobbish and a bit boring because I didn't hear good reviews about it. I can say that my expectation wasn't right at all. This place is very nice, comfortable and friendly. I had a good service, waitress was so kind and polite, very attentive.

Review of Patisserie Deux Amis
28 Apr 08, 13:08
Patisserie
In Patisserie Deux Amis the atmosphere is nice and staff is friendly. The are different good dishes to taste and during the winter there are very good soups served with a fresh butter baguette. There's just one thing not so good, it's the coffe...I'm not a coffe lover but this one is the worst coffe I've ever drink!

Victoria & Albert Museum
This museum is divided in 150 section and it hosts the biggest decorative art's collection of the world. The museum is big but despite of this the majority of the objects are preserved in the storages becasue there's not space enough. Anyway the museum is interesting and you have to go there absolutly!!

Review of Serpentine Gallery
22 Apr 08, 15:50
Pleasant Gallery
A visit to the Serpentine Gallery is particularly pleasant, this because it's a little gallery that usually hosts wonderful galleries. You can go for a walk in the park too. The gallery is too bright and this is good to watch the paintings of: Damiens Hirst, Andreas Gursky, Louise Bourgeois, Gabriel orozco and Tomoko Takahashi, etc.

Review of Loungelover
22 Apr 08, 14:59
Great Design
This place is amazing! It has a modern design and it's very incredible. When I entered in Loungelover I had the impression that I was in another world. This because there's a big difference between Lounglover and the street where is sited. The street is ramshackle while Loungelover has a great design!

Review of White Horse
22 Apr 08, 14:12
Have a Beer
The White House is a welcome pub with heterogeneous costumers. This pub has a great food and on summer offers barbecue, friendly and welcome atmosphere. To drink you can choose from a wide range of beers (I think the Belgian Trappist is the best one). On every November the pub hosts the Old Ales Festival offering traditional beers.

Review of Theatre Museum
21 Apr 08, 15:16
English Theatre
This nice museum is dedicated to the English Theatre's history, from the Tudor Age until the end of the last century. Anyway it hosts opera and ballet collections too. There is a wide exposure of costums, scenographies, paintings, manifests and others herilooms. I studied theatre in the past so I found this museum very interesting.

Review of Arkansas Cafe
21 Apr 08, 14:50
Country Food
The Arkansas's menú consists in traditional "country" american food. The restaurant is not so appealing and is sited out of the Spitalfields Market. You can eat cutlets, chicken or beef-steak, it doesn't matter because are all good meats, high quality meats. Staff is polite but not friendly.

Review of Abeno Japanese Restaurant
21 Apr 08, 14:24
Okonomiyaki
This little Japanese restaurant is not so famous but I found that is a good place to go to eat Japanese food. The speciality is the Okonomiyaki, a kind of salty Japanese flapjack to combine with others ingredients (from meat to vegetables, from eggs to noodles and chees). This flapjack is cooked on a plate that the watress rests on the client's table, very good!

London Zoo
I liked this place, even if to see the animals in hutchs make me feel a little bit sad. London Zoo is the world's oldest scientific zoo. When it was opened this Zoo was originally intended to be used as a collection for scientific study. Today it houses a collection of 704 species of animals, with 16,802 individuals, making it one of the largest collections in the United Kingdom.

Review of Highgate Wood
18 Apr 08, 14:02
"Green Walk"
This is a wonderful place to have a walk. Highgate Wood covers some 70 acres and came into the City of London's care in 1886. Here live about seventy different kind of birds, five of bats, twelve of butterflay and eighty of spiders (ahhh). This park has a vast area to play sports, a famous recreation ground, a naturalistic intinerary for kids and more.

Review of Joanna's
18 Apr 08, 13:21
Joanna's...
This is not particularly cheap but it's worth it for the quality. The dishes were excellent as the wine and the desserts. This is a fairly large restaurant, busy and lively. The waitress are polite and helpfull and the senior staff members wear suits!

Review of Bartok
18 Apr 08, 12:41
Relax in Bartok
I went to this bar some weeks ago during a walk in Camden and my friends and I decided to have a break and drink something in this place. It's really nice, it has comfortable sofas, soft lights and drapes that create the right sensation for a jazz and classical atmosphere. We relaxed in this bar and we listened good music, if you're looking for a quit place Bartok is the answer.

Review of Hakkasan
17 Apr 08, 15:46
Fashon Hakkasan
This is a very fashon restaurant, is a meeting place for celebrities and it boasts of a superb design, inviting cocktails and a very sophisticated Chinese food. The dishes are well decorated and food is exquisited. The restaurant has soffused lights that create a night atmosphere, I find it very romantic! Maybe the atmosphere is too formal and sometimes the staff is not so friendly.

Review of Lindsay House
17 Apr 08, 15:34
Irish Food
The Irish food of this restaurant, cooked by Richard Corrigan, conquested me. The dishes are simple but square meal (just think about the sea-bass with pickle cabbage and oysters). The restaurant preserve the ancient atmosphere of the past (to enter you need to ring the bell!) and the furnitures are made by natural and colour materials.

Review of Chinese Experience
17 Apr 08, 14:16
Chinese Taste
Simple but elegant Chinese restaurant that offers a wide set of regional dishes (Cantonese, Beijing, etc). Staff is polite and helpful, very friendly. Prices are not high. Usaully i'm skeptical about Chinese food but this restaurant changed my mind. It's the ideal place where to eat and stay comfortable.

Review of The London Transport Museum
17 Apr 08, 13:03
Transport's Rules
This a an unexpected funny museum that tells how London transports changed through time. The museum preserves and illustrates documents and objects that deals with the urban transport's history. I think that one of the most interesting attractives are the interactive exhibition. If you pass by Covent Garden go to visit this museum!

Review of Eyre Brothers
17 Apr 08, 12:42
International Food
This restaurant is in Shoreditch but it has the tipical style of the City's restaurants. In Eyre Brothers there's the possibility to taste Spanish food, Portuguese food and even food from Mozambique. I ate the clams and shrimps with "piri-piri" sauce but I tasted the marinated lamb from my friends too. The food it' very delicious!

Review of Marks and Spencer
16 Apr 08, 13:49
Good Food
I like to go to M & S. The shop has 3 floor, is clean and well organised. The staff is polite and always helpful. I usualli buy food in this shop, even if I find it quite expensive. At the same time, I'm happy to spend more to have very high quality products. I can say, infact, that food is very good and fresh.

Review of Peckham Library
11 Apr 08, 10:57
The Coloured Library
I went to this library because I was curious to see the building structure. It is not near at the centre of the city and is not near to the others tourist attractions but I think it's a nice place to see. This because it' s bizarre and colourated building and above the roof there's a kind of red "tongue" more the write "Library".

Review of West Hampstead Underground Station
11 Apr 08, 10:42
Good Service
Every morning I go to the West Hampstead Underground Station to catch to train that takes me in Leicester Square. This Station has a really good service and I rarely have to wait the train for long time. The only imperfection is the exit that is small and when I come back there's often the queue.

Review of Topshop
10 Apr 08, 14:04
Temptation Temple
This is the biggest shop I've ever seen before (I'm from Italy!) and the first time I saw it I was shocked! Everytime there's something new, so many clothes, I would like to buy everything...Topshop is a real temptation temple! Usually there's a lot of people and this is the only thing that annoys me..but for women shoppers can endure this pain I'm sure!!!

Sainsburys
I usually got to Sainsburys because it's preatty near where I live. I find this supermarket organised and neat. Here I can find italian great food too! Sanisburys offers a very good meat, I always bought great meat ...but always at high cost... There's one thing that I can't tollerate, the queue at the counter, so slow and so annoying!

Review of McDonalds

Last week McDonald's "save" my lunch!!!
You always know where you stand with McDonald's. I was worried that all the cafés, etc, would be really expensive around Leicester Square. I was so happy to find and old faithful! It's just a McDonald's, same food as ever but it was a welcome site!
