Equally good at just finding five minutes to change a bulb or a complete post collision rebuild.

A good set up to have in your contacts list.

C'est le service qui manque... http://www.welovelocal.com/en/london/lambeth/clapham-common/french-restaurants/robert-gastro-sw40bd.html#r53402 food is good, if not amazing and the atmosphere is really great. However every single time I have been, they have let me down with TERRIBLE service. Once, my friend ordered tea with his breakfast. They brought mint tea, so he sent that back and asked again for plain ol' tea. They brought another cup of mint tea, looking slightly confused. He decided to give up trying to get his tea, asked for the bill, mentioning that he had twice been proffered the minty offender, so could they make sure that neither appeared on the bill. Of course, he was billed for two cups of mint tea.... Disastrous and such a shame

Free micro chipping at RSPCA http://www.welovelocal.com/en/london/lambeth/west-norwood/charity-shops/rspca-se279aa.html#r53372 A pleasant afternoon queuing with my 3 dogs at the West Norwood RSPCA Charity shop for free micro chipping . Thank you to all the staff for your dedication, time and patience. I was happy to leave a donation and even found a bargain buy on the rails! Fabulous idea for us not so well off pet owners. Huge thanks and appreciation.

Overhyped http://www.welovelocal.com/en/london/lambeth/clapham-common/hairdressers/orao-hair-studio-sw129dj.html#r53319 I went to Orao yesterday on the strength of these reviews and the website, which is very chic and modern. However, the salon is not really what I expected, it's not very modern and I didn't even get a cup of tea never mind the free snacks they advertised. It was very quiet even though they told me they were full and only just squeezed me in. I like my cut very much and the stylist Maria was really knowledgable and listened to what I said, but I'm not sure I'd go back again, it was too much of a disappointment from what was advertised.

Perfect Blend disappoints http://www.welovelocal.com/en/london/lambeth/streatham/cafes/perfect-blend-sw161eq.html#r53302 We had to wait ages to get served and the food was awful.

I ordered the Perfect Burger which was so undercooked that I had to send it back.

They then brought out the same cut up pieces of burger wrapped in the same mayo-soaked bun, with some oily chips to boot.

I won't be going there again - the staff try their best but there always appears to be bad management, and what can you say about the chef if he can't even cook a burger?

Eat poorly & get abused for the privilege! http://www.welovelocal.com/en/london/lambeth/clapham-common/french-restaurants/le-chardon-sw49ng-1.html#r53258 FIGHT WITH THE STAFF! PLEASE READ!

We ordered two standard dishes. Vegetable Tart and Cajun chicken. Chicken was ordinary. My girlfriend had the vegetable tart. A couple of bites into it she found a hair. Ok, this sometimes happens, so she removed it. A few bites later she found a clump of hairs, this time they were fully cooked into the tart. When she tried to remove them it pulled the tart to pieces, it was full of them and completely baked in. To put it mildly this put us both off our lunch. We asked the waiter to take the food away as we were not going to pay for it. He didn’t apologise just said ‘that’s fine’.

A few minutes later we told him we were going to get up and go. He said ‘ok’. Still no apology, then he walked off. So we did too.

Then just outside the restaurant the waiter followed us and demanded we pay for the mineral water! We told him our lunch was nauseating and ruined. His argument was ‘yeah, but the water was fine’. We found it incredible he’d want to cause a scene just 10 metres away from his restaurant, on a sunny day with customers in ear-shot sitting outside. Thinking it would stop the argument we suggested if he wanted to carry on negotiating over the water we do it inside the restaurant. To our astonishment he agreed.

When we got back to the restaurant it was more of the same; still demanding £2 for the water, he mentioned the police, we mentioned the health inspector. Then we noticed another customer had just been served the same hair-filled dish. They hadn’t even taken it off the menu!

We told the unfortunate customer what happened and everyone looked appalled. His mood now changed. He said and didn’t care about the £2, but was getting angry.

We’d made our point and left to amusing threats from the waiter that he would ‘find me’ or ‘get’ me. Nice. And all in front of your customers. Real Clever.

In summary AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE. Unless you like rotund waiters with small-man syndrome abusing you Jerry Springer style for having the audacity to not pay for a meal filled with hair.

We didn’t pay the £2. And I still haven’t been ‘got’. Looks like the witness re-location can wait for a bit then Mr Waiter…

I’d be more than happy to discuss or meet with any employees of Le Chardon.
